This catalogue of currently available
editions contains works by composers born before 1790; however, a few
younger ones have been included who died young (e.g. Schubert). In case
an edition is out-dated or untrustworthy, we have indicated this by
putting the editor's name in parentheses; "arr." means: arrangement.
Often printed compostions are represented in a selection of the best
editions which stay close to the sources.
